Mauritius largest textile enterprises – Mauritius Textile Co., Ltd (CMT) has announced: due to the impact of international financial crisis ,2007-2008 annual profit of 735 million rupees (23.22 million U.S. dollars) yuan, down 43.46 percent; the annual turnover of 55.26 billion rupees (175 million U.S. dollars), the basic last year.

Wool Shueisiou Hu, general manager of the company, said business in the face of international financial crisis, with increased cost and rupee appreciation despite adverse circumstances is not easy to achieve such results. However, in order to fight against the follow-up to the impact of the crisis, the company management has decided to take the recruitment of marketing, management personnel and skilled workers, such as contingency measures to reduce operating costs, improve production efficiency in order to tide over their current difficulties.
